👋 Hi, I'm Matt. Though you might see the domain is mottjones.dev, Mott is a nickname that someone started using years ago and it just stuck! I am a WordPress Developer dedicated to building websites that don't just look good, they perform.
While I specialise in the WordPress ecosystem, I approach development with a modern engineering mindset. This portfolio, built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS, reflects my commitment to speed, scalability, and clean architecture.
With 7 years of agency experience, I help businesses combine the flexibility of WordPress with the power of the modern web.
Beyond Coding
Outside of development, I maintain a healthy work-life balance by pursuing interests that are both technically demanding and physically engaging.
While I value the clarity and decompression of a good hike, my true passion is for all things automotive.
I enjoy taking my car on track, having driven renowned circuits including Oulton Park and the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
In my freetime, I also love going fishing. I especially enjoy coarse and carp angling, spending time by the water, and trying to land a good catch.
